Mark Levine, an American professor at Minzu University of China in Beijing, is a winner of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, the highest award to commend foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernization drive.

Through writing songs and books, he presents the world with a real and vivid image of China. Since he came to China in 2005, he has visited places across the country, made friends with Chinese people, and learned many touching stories.

During his nearly 20 years in China, the American professor has dedicated himself to serving as a bridge between China and the UnitedStates, sharing messages of peace and friendship.
